Did you know that National Train Day is this weekend? Starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 12th, Amtrak is hosting the 5th annual National Train Day!
Come and celebrate the joy of trains and train travel! Train stations in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles will be hosting events with free, fun activities, interactive exhibits and train displays that will bring the ‘rail way’ to life for attendees both young and old. If you live somewhere else, check out the events page of the NationalTrainDay.com to see if there is an event in your area.
If you live in the New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles area, you'll have the chance to tour private luxury railcars, freight and commuter trains, as well as current Amtrak equipment. This is all on a first come, first served basis, and space is limited, so be sure to arrive early!
